Students go to college to develop personally and professionally. Some fraternity facilities house brothers in environments that harm rather than help those goals by forcing brothers to go elsewhere to study during parties -- but SigEp's new program to have a substance-free facility provides a very conducive environment for doing what students go to college to do.

They have still recruited people because they don’t tell them they are going dry. There is a good amount of nice dudes in the house but I just don’t see how they will be able to have a good recruitment year when people actually realize what is happening. They will still be rock solid for another year or so before falling of the deep end. Really unfortunate what nationals did to them but if one house had it coming to them on this campus it should be them lol.

SigEp needs to recruit men who have the confidence to be different. SigEp can be a life-changing organization for its members once we get alcohol out of the chapter house. It will no longer be just a place where where "frat bros" and their groupies go to party for four years.

They're going to lose their groupies the second they go completely dry

The purpose of a SigEp chapter is to find men who share the Fraternity’s principles and to develop them into Balanced Men who will be the next generation of values-based leaders. Drinking really plays no role in that mission, and frankly, data from higher education researchers shows that it actively works against a chapter's ability to do so.
