Every year it happens. Some freshman posts on social media about how they LOVE a specific chapter so much and they're definitely going to be a member. I'm telling you now that...
1. Don't do it. It makes other houses red flag you from the beginning and if they don't think you're interested, they probably won't invest that much time or effort in you. Then if you get dropped from your "favorite" house, you're screwed.
2. You haven't even met the girls yet. You haven't seen the relationships or heard about the philanthropies. Even if you know 100 girls in each chapter personally from high school, you couldn't possibly know what you want already. Slow down. We have great houses on campus and you should put effort forth at and be excited about all of them. Go into recruitment with an open mind and talk to your Rho Alphas. Get a feel for recruitment before you make judgements. You'll have a far happier experience!
