how does the rush process work?
by: prospect
Hello, I will be transferring in the summer or fall and I am wondering how rush works for the fraternities on campus. I read that it is informal and you can be recruited whenever. Can someone clarify how exactly that works? Also, I will be transferring as a junior, is it too late to rush?
Thank you.

Frats can give out bids anytime, just hang out with the guys and talk to the recruitment chairs. Make friends in houses. It's laid back. Also I think you shouldn't let being a junior stop you, there's definitely still houses that would be interested if you're a cool person who would be involved.

Maybe my situation is different cause I'm a 3rd year but I'm still a sophomore credits wise. But for fall pledge class, you visit houses during the summer and VERY early start of school. You want to sign your bid before classes start preferably. In the fall, you want to sign your bid preferably before the first week of Feb ends. You can visit whenever, but if you wait too long your bid might be for the following semester which may be inconvenient seeing as you're older.

When I said February, I meant spring, not fall
