This used to be a bottom house but they’ve definitely changed over the last few years. You always hear about how much everyone hates each other in other chapters but not here whenever someone talks about aopi they always talk about how good their sisterhood is and how they actually all hang out with each other. Their newer pledge classes are definitely better than they have been in the past and it’s refreshing to see a sorority who isn’t all copy and paste.

they're on the rise for sure. like most chapters, some girls are better than others in terms of being nice/classy. definitely a lot of party girls so they don't have as high grades but at least they are a good time. one of the nicer actual houses too

I can tell you the positive reviews are from about three members in this chapter. Genuinely was the worst part of my college experience. They are complete morons when it comes to managing the finances for other people and frequently screw you over. They will lie to you about the reality of dues and will mismanage their money then raise dues just for events such as formals. When working with fraternities, we were strongly disliked and known to have terrible teamwork. Many members blamed all pairing issues on the men and were oblivious to the fact that we as a chapter failed to work with them. Inside the house was an ever-changing hierarchy of power that would reside in places such as standards boards and make it impossible to have someone to confide genuine issues in. Therefore, making it extremely hard to feel heard and have your problems solved. Their nationals are just as bad. No one cares about you while you're in and they give you absolutely no assistance when trying to abandon the program all together. They force feed you the housing contract super early on, so you are forced to stay with them for at least two years because they are so desperate for members. Yeah, no, seriously, this is not the place to be if you want genuine relationships from a sorority.

From what I’ve seen, AOPi has one of the best sisterhoods on campus. The girls seem to genuinely care about one another and their chapter. Definitely not the most popular chapter but they get too much hate for no reason. Every AOPi I’ve met has been incredibly kind and sweet. They have a good mix in their last few pledge classes of girls that like to go out and girls that don’t. Overall AOPi is a solid chapter with great girls that is growing and improving.

I beg of you, do not join this chapter First of all, it’s a total waste of money. You pay more than you would for an actually good chapter and what you get in return is a ****ty sisterhood run by alcoholics, pop up fees, a house where something breaks down about 2-4 times a week, and black mold. It’s like living in a house full of middle schoolers, everyone is always pissed about some ugly frat boy or something and everyone is trying to claw each others eyes out. I mentioned one time that it is important to word things kindly, and I was called a stuck up *****. After that, I was told to kill myself as well. Yay! Even an advisor sent by Nationals for primary recruitment was fired for calling us slurs and ****. So, apparently the whole organization sucks, not just this chapter. Second, these girls are disgusting. Ive seen people complaining in the group chat about “how it’s unladylike to leave fecal matter on the floor”. YUP! SOMEONE **** ON THE FLOOR AND THATS HOW THEY ADDRESSED IT! I also was not kidding about the mold. There was some growing in the vents for quite some time. Housing directors knew about it for a whole year and said nothing could be done without approval from Nationals until a new member got super sick and their guardian threatened legal action. Worst of all, these girls will try to scam the hell out of you. Pop up fees, late fees, a fee here, a fee there. I was charged $100 a month for not signing a housing contract and telling them I was moving out. With all the money they’ve sucked out of me, you would think they wouldn’t need another $600 a semester for parting ways. If anyone tries to fine you for something that doesn’t have your signature on it, this is coercion and you should get your lawyer involved, I know I did. You can also tell they budget poorly. With all the money we give them, they “can’t afford a new printer”, “can’t afford a full sized dryer”, and “can’t afford more than one fridge for every member of the house”. I literally have no idea where my money is going. I know I’m sounding harsh, but I’m doing this to hopefully help people who are thinking about rushing, especially in primary recruitment. I know people say to base your opinions on chapters on nothing but your own experiences, but you have to understand these sites exist for a reason. If you are reading this before recruitment, I’m really proud of you for doing your research. I know I wish I had. Please, please, please avoid this chapter.
