Is DDD on suicide watch? Bad pledge classes for the last 4 years and they can't win anything much less place in anything and I'm guessing they stole one to many YouTube shows from the internet because they couldn't make scandals either. Hahaha

DDD was barely hanging on to house #5 in the top tier. I think it's fair to say they have completed the translation and now are solid middle tier while gamma phi beta has been doing well lately and deserves to be a part of the top 5. They may be at the bottom of the top now but they have finally gotten there!

Wow. The bitterness! If you get cut from DDD, you should either accept whatever house you get or get counseling. This blowing up of greek rank because other people like DDD and you don't is ridiculous.

Grades are the most important thing about a sorority. That's why Theta has been the top house forever. Houses that make good grades do that because they make good choices of new members and then have the self discipline to make academics a priority.

So there is no such thing as philanthropy, community involvement, leadership, etc? because that is what is looked at when awarding the presidents trophy to a house lol what do you know..

She didn't say it was the only important thing, just that it was the most important thing and I agree. It's way easier to win Scandals than to win grades. Grades is every single day starting with the first day of recruitment (getting academic girls) and continuing to the last day of finals. Everything else is just an intense month or so.

Consider spending a little extra time working on your reading comprehension. Then you'll be able to read like the other girls.

Grades are the most important thing while in a sorority? A sorority is an extracurricular activity that incorporates various factors including having good academic standing (you're right with that one). But to say that grades are the most important this is far off...a sorority is finding many friendships, having constant support, making a lasting impact in the community, and raising money for the philanthropy you are dedicated to, etc.
Yes, grades are important..and your GPA will define that for you, but looking back I'm going to remember all of the memories and how much of a difference i made being in a sorority.

Honey, it says grades are the most important thing ABOUT a sorority. That was a reply about how grades affect rank. It was not a philosophical discussion of the importance of a sisterhood in the life of a college girl. Learn to read the entire thread so you will know the context. No one has time to lay the entire subject out for you in each reply.

It's obvious that looking back, you're not going to remember learning anything.

Sweetheart, grades are NOT the most important thing about a sorority. Using the words 'about' and 'while' does not change the fact that sorority rank incorporates more than just grades. If a sorority had absolutely nothing but good grades, they would just be a house with a reputation of having good grades. Theta is known for positive things as well as being a house with good grades.
Oh I'll definitely remember my consistent 4.0 (:

Grades tell something about the character of the house. If girls want a high character house they need to look at the ones that put the emphasis on academics.

These houses and Tri Delta are always at the top of the grades. All excellent houses, too.

It's always refreshing to see something objective that shows which houses are doing better. Top houses make good grades. Period.

But let's be honest only hundredths separate most of the sororities in grades so it's more consistency in good grades and doing well in other things too. The only house that's been topics grades for years is Theta. I don't think another house, any house has stayed in the top 3 for 2 consecutive semesters.
