How competitive is rush if you're from the North? How many recs are required?

It's competitive no matter where you're from and yes, recs are required,.

I'm from the northeast and just FYI, it makes rush a lot harder. 99% of girls are from oklahoma or texas, and you usually need to know someone to get into a top house. you're also considered a higher drop risk because you're so far from home, so that makes top houses more hesitant. It's not impossible- I got into a top house- but you definitely need to be prepared for rush!!
Just remember that, as dumb as it sounds, all OU houses are great- we've won awards from national panhellenic for having such a great sorority system. as long as you present yourself well, you will end up in a great house.
