what surprised you most about your recruitment?

For freshmen- What surprised you most about your own rush experience? Did anyone get blindsided by a cut or really surprised by your final outcome? Are you happy where you are? Anything you'd do differently if you could?

I'm happy where I ended up and think it's the right place for me; I wanted to go to my house for pref and ranked them first. There were some cuts I was surprised about, and a couple that hurt my feelings. Each group was at least polite to me, most were very nice. There were some houses where I felt real connections, and some that just didn't click. I got most of my top choices back each day and had a good experience. Overall if I had to do it differently I'd try to be more objective and keep the focus on making friends. I'm really glad I didn't read this site before or during the week. Y'all act like a bunch of 5th grade girls on a playground!

Thanks for sharing, I'm glad you ended up right where you wanted to be. I think it's good to hear from others who went through the process. I appreciate your honesty and I'm not surprised that all the houses treated you well. Enjoy your new sisters!!
