I plan on attending OU fall 2016 and had planned on rushing. My grandmother and mother were in the same house and talk about how great sorority life is. I am ambivalent. Mean, immature girls are enough in high school and I was hoping to get away from all of that in college. Reading this board, which I happened across, thinking it was something legit, has me thinking that the people who post here, for the most part, are still mentally stuck in high school.

^^^ Thanks for that. Yea, I figure there will be girls who don't grow up. I've been going to school with them for 12 years. It's a certain clicque whose moms try to look just like their teenager, They have the same fake spray tan and dress like their high school kid. I mean, they don't have to dress like a great grandma in elastic polyester pants in their mid 40's, but gee whiz, stop dressing like you're 18-21.

my daughter is a junior at OU. She is in a sorority and I will tell you she has numerous good friends in other sororities. Rush is not always the greatest experience but she has made so many friends because she is in a sorority. There are great girls in ALL the sororities and if you decide to pledge you will find friends. This site is awful and not a true depiction of sorority life at OU. ( Its sort of like watching a soap opera.) if you decide to go through recruitment do NOT pay attention to this site while you are going through.
