nobody cares

by: hi

Hi pnms,
Nobody cares what house you are in after the first semester. Literately, nobody. They only care that you're not a Geed.
Here should be your goals for the next few weeks: Move to Norman, Go to all 11 houses the first day, have killer conversations with the girls rushing you, cut the houses YOU want to cut and Keep the houses YOU want to keep (don't listen to your high school bff or suitemate), when you get your bid~~~GO TO BID DAY~~~, don't cry. You'll be making the biggest mistake of your life if you miss bid day because you "think" you didn't get the house you wanted. make friends with the girls in your house, have a BLAST. This is your first real taste of freedom, don't spend it sulking because you didn't get your "dream house." Being in a house at all is an honor! You will meet 90+ people with your new pledge class-there has to be someone you like in there. Don't be a brat. Give the house you get a shot. Get involved. MAKE THE MOST OUT OF EVERY SECOND BECAUSE IT IS JUST FOUR YEARS OF YOUR LIFE AND IT GOES BY SO FAST.

pan love, y'all

sad graduate that decided to get all sad about not being at recruitment this year and wanted to shed some knowledge to the PNMs that check this page, since I know I did 4 years ago.

I feel sorry for the girls who have to keep bumping the rank posting. Do they think one more time will do it for them? Rank is an arbitrary thing. You don't see the guys on here do ha. No, because they just don't care about it. At all.

Hi sad grad! I thought you could answer this best. Let's assume that a pmn presents well with appearance and convos with members, then how much do grades, ACTscore, athletics, awards, community service, and such play into determining who is chosen as a pledge? If a girl had all that and some good alumni recs, but didn't know anyone in the house, would she stand a chance?
