Does having a recommendation letter from someone who was in that house at OU make a huge difference? Is having more than one too many?

Thanks!

Unless it is someone that the chapter holds in particular regard for some reason (founding member, etc.) it doesn't matter who writes the rec. Also, one is enough. If you have other friends who offer to write a rec, please ask them to write a letter in support instead.

Thanks for responding! Are rec letters really worth it? Would it up my chances of getting a bid?

YES! Have a rec letter for every house - it doesn't have to be from someone who was a member of the OU chapter of the house. If you don't know anyone, ask people who have given your recs for other houses. They will be a great resource to introduce to their friends in other sororities. You can also ask at your church and ask your former teachers if they know anyone who could write a rec. Yes, it is a giant hassle, but it's worth it in the end.

There may be some houses that wouldn't care but most houses require a rec to move you along.
