I totally agree with you and all the top houses at OU can't take all their legacies and they don't want to either. I think the girl was trying to be hateful about legacies OR she's from a house that doesn't have any and she thinks that's why her house doesn't get top girls. Either way she doesn't seem to know what she is talking about since being a legacy won't get you a bid to any house especially a top house at OU.

My point is it is a numbers game and the more legacies a chapter has the hired the return rate. I agree they cut alot of legacies, but the fact remains they are Desired by their legacies because of the family connection. It is not a mean statement. I am curious why no slammed the girl who stated it was a numbers game? Isn't that the same thing? Why everyone thinks this conversation about tiers is not more complicated is not being realistic. If it is a numbers game that is a piece if the puzzle. It is not negative or positive it just is.

Sorry but that's not true. The top houses have a higher return rate because everyone wants to be in a top house and most legacies have to be cut early on so they can adjust and find a new house. It sounds like you are confused about legacies.

That is what I said the the houses with the most legacies have to cut more girls. My gosh. I can't believe girls get upset because they are fortunate enough to have girls that want to follow in a family member's foot steps .

Except for AOII and A Phi, all the houses have been here a long time and were established within a few years of each other (all before 1920). See what being in Crimson Club teaches you?

If a house isn't a top house the legacy wants a top house and uses their legacy house as a backup. Girls who aren't legacies want the top houses too. It doesn't matter how many legacies a house has, what matters is if it's a top house. Top houses are more desirable by everyone everywhere not just OU. Also, most girls going through recruitment aren't legacies from the actual chapter on campus so it doesn't matter who's been on the campus longer.Additionally a house that's not as big nationally often has a broader definition of legacy than a large national sorority. It comes out in the wash. If girls don't want your house it's not because they are a legacy to another house but because they are a legacy to a better house or a legacy to a less popular house on campus and they want a better house. Sure if it's a large sorority nationally and a great house on campus all the legacies are most likely hoping to receive a bid but unfortunately the house won't be able to extend them all bids because top houses have lots of great girls to choose from.

Thank goodness all our legacies are not as shallow as you are. Many girls have looked forward to being in their legacy house for years and couldn't care less about its ranking. If your house is trying to scoop up girls who think they're too good for their legacy house, good for you. I hope you enjoy them. We cut most girls that are legacies to other houses unless we know them well and know they're not going to their legacy house. Oh, and there was one girl we knew would go to another house but her sister was our friend so we kept her to give her two houses for pref.
