pi beta phi discussion

#2 by: Not Top 3
I'm sorry girls, Pi Phi is just not top 3 material and won't ever be at OU. Kappa/Theta will always be top two because of looks and money, while Tri-Delt follows close behind even though their PC's can get kind of weird. Pi Phi is rando and has just kind of an all over the place rep at OU. not saying it's a bad house, just not top 3. obviously their girls are getting on and self-ranking pi phi something that its not.

the OU Pan is SO wonderful and there are so many great houses to be in-- love your neighbor as yourself!

if all OU houses are equal, why didn't you become an Alpha Gam? (wait, let me guess, you didn't "fit in," you, "felt at home" at Kappa..all BS) If all houses are equal, why even have rush? Why not just divide all the freshman girls' names equally and let each house have the same amount. Seriously, if AGD, AOII, APhi, etc are so great, why not trade? I'm sure there's a Alpha Gam out there dying to wear the blue & blue.
That's what I thought. Shame on you for that panhellenic b-s.

Well are you an Alpha Gam? Are you so conceited to think that I think every girl who's not a Kappa or Theta wants to be a Kappa or Theta? Everyone fits in somewhere, It's where I fit in. Unfortunately, since Kappa and Theta are considered a "top house" whatever that standard may be, people overlook our actual sisterhood and focus on our screwups to make us look like a bad house out of pure jealousy. I'm in my house because I love the girls IN my house, not because of it's reputation. And if you're not my pledge sister, you have no right to come on here and tell me what my sorority is about. And maybe despite a few tears on bid day, I feel like the majority of girls who go through formal recruitment are happy and proud of their house. Stop dragging other houses down because you're insecure. Pi Phi is great... the same level of great as Tri-Delt, Kappa, Theta, Alpha Phi, Alpha Gam, etc. Stop being so judgmental, it just makes your house look bad for rush.
#7 by: Totally Agree
"@@Kappa" I totally agree. FYI I got a BID FROM PI PHI AND TURNED IT DOWN FOR AGD!! There are so many types of girls and they dont all fit into the "barbie doll" houses.. I love my house and Im sure you love yours.. but if for the right reasons idk. I chose my house bc i new thats where i fit in the best. Im not tryin to be some girly girl just to be in a so called "top house".. this whole web site is ridiculous..

Just to make things clear, this is a rating site. And since rush day 1 I have always believed Kappa was the best house on campus. This isn't to say the others are bad, but, as with all things, we all can't be equal. I'm sure Alpha Gam's have great sisterhood. Just like the Phi Mu's before them. But when you're a AGD or Phi Mu, you have a serious threat of your house being shut down WHILE YOU'RE STILL AT SCHOOL. You can't deny this fact.
And everyone does fit in somewhere. Usually awkward, somewhat decent looking girls go to AOPi. Everyone knows what the stereotype for AGD is. Theta's look more for $ and Kappa's look more for looks. That's not to say that the both look for grades, sociability, knowledge, athleticism, personality, etc. They're all great houses but they have reputations and stereotypes FOR A REASON... usually because it is true or was true at some point in time.
Anyway, I know I sound cynical and bitter, but it's probably because I am.

Oh and every time you cut a legacy, I hope you have to face that pain my mother went through someday. I hope your "sisterhood" cuts YOUR daughter. I hope you have to get that call on the 2nd day of rush from YOUR daughter. I hope you have to fight back tears of your own as you listen to your own child cry about not being accepted.
And yes, this happens to many people every year at rush in every sorority. I still think it's wrong.
