I've been watching the news over the SAE situation. I've seen different marches around campus supporting diversity. It seems to me the Greek community needs to put something together and/or participate in one. Take a stand and do the right thing.

Panhellenic or IFC should pull something together ASAP.

Idea is well taken, but needs to be something that doesn't look like every other Greek activity, minus the chicken-wire floats. Something more lasting: a fund-raiser starting now, maybe lasting through first semester, maybe repeated for a month each year, where both councils and ALL Greek houses, traditionally black and traditionally white, raise money for minority scholarships (NOT related to athletics). In case no one noticed, last weekend, before becoming the top news story, OU students raised more than a half-million dollars for the Children's Miracle Network.

Houses could also set up system by which people could VOLUNTARILY pay an extra $5 per month on sorority/frat dues, earmarked for minority scholarship fund. Talk about helping to bust stereotype and starting a GOOD tradition ...
