sorority comments

The majority of girls that go to the very top houses do have a connection. Not all, for sure, but most. Having said that, I think it is important for all pnms to know that all the houses here have a wonderful sisterhood. If you throw yourself into your house you can make what you want of it.

I'm transferring from OSU. How does a girl get on their house committee or even become an officer? Can freshman/transfers be on a committee?

...to all the current greeks telling the PNM to get off this site (just because they are still in HS) shut up. I sure remember how excited I was to rush and become greek!! Don't you? and I sure do know how glad I was to have older girls helping me out on here. So this is their shot, let them ask us and talk about it.

Theta, Pi Phi and Tri Delt are known for consistently placing in the top 3 for grades. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure it was those 3 that placed for Fall 2010.

I know pnms are excited and want to know more. I am just worried that the message we're giving out is that ranking is the only thing that matters and that there are only 4 - 6 houses that any good. NOTHING could be further from the truth. Only 280 - 420 girls will end up in those houses. All the rest can still find greek homes and sisters that they truly love. UNLESS they are so demoralized by the obsessive self promotion on here that they drop out after being cut by the top six houses. ALL houses have a lot to offer, not just the top ones. Many many pnms will be cut for grades, no recs, or just because a house wants someone else. Please don't be discouraged and drop out. The truth about OU greek life is that every house is full of sisterhood that you don't want to miss out on.

Best post yet! This is exactly the message we should be getting out because it is the truth. There are a lot of lies on here, but the truth is that all the houses offer a true sisterhood sorority experience. The top houses win more, but all pnms win when they become part of a house.

i'm rushing in august, and i'm not from Oklahoma. I only know a handful of people there, but I have a really high gpa. I do a lot if academic competitons, because I enjoy them and theyre fun for me. is that unattractive to sororities?

No, that will appeal to the sorority that's right for you! You shouldn't be concerned with whether the "top 6" houses think something's cool or not, because if they don't like what you do, why would you be happy there?
