how can you get to know girls in the house though before you go to ou? my aunt is the president of the arkansas chapter for one of the houses, would that be enough to get me into that house?

Definitely not. I think what the girl posted below is very accurate. You might not need to know girls in houses, but they will definitely know you. If a sorority member wants to know something about you, she will ask a girl in your grade about you, whether or not you are friends. Be nice to everyone in highschool because you never who has an older sister or a close friend in a top house. But for real, if you want to be in one of the houses listed below, pack your resume with everything you can, be nice, dress classy and wear natural make up, get rec letters, keep your facebook clean (private but unblocked), get good grades, and be yourself during rush

Go through Rush with an open mind. Don't lock yourself into one house even if you are a legacy. My house only took 20% of our legacies last year. Pick 3-4 houses. There are some amazing girls coming to OU so there is a lot of competition. Pledge classes this year are going to be big. Yes, most of the top houses will have already decided whether they want you based on grades, recommendations, and your hometown reputation. Yes, you will be facebook stalked, so make sure you don't have any embarassing pictures up. Choose your house based on the girls you meet and whether those are the kind of girls you want to hang out with. The great thing about OU is all the houses have something to offer. Good luck!

How many girls are typically in the top 4? How many are typically accepted into a pledge class? Is there a limit in how many can be in a pledge class?

My cousin is in a top sorority at ASU and says everyone is obsessed with Lilly Pulitzer. Is it that big of a deal at ou too?

Lilly Pullitzer is PERFECT for rush! And Tory Burch... just sayin'. The pledge classes are usually 60-70 girls so multiply that by the top 4 houses and you get around 240-280 girls. There's usually about 900-1,000 girls going through rush so you have to be pretty outstanding to get into a top house.

What if the high school we go to is out of state? They can't possibly know someone from every high school in the country

How hard do the top houses haze? I've heard from some people that they don't at all, but from others I've heard the opposite..

They'll creep on your facebook, find out your grades/what you're involved in, decide if they like you or not then match you with girls during rush that will determine if you will fit in or not. Don't worry! If you're cute and not awkward girls will love you!
