When you go through Rush you want to be a Theta or Kappa ' top houses'. if you don't get selected there you go to "middle houses' - all good . Where you hope you don't go is a 'bottom house' Alpha Chi -AOPHI - AGD although girls that end up there are happy and find great sisterhood,

I would gladly settle for what you consider middle tier. I cut Kappa and Theta and I was a legacy at both. Ridiculous and silly girls

I would say that only the most shallow of girls would decide they have to be Kappa or Theta before rush. Most girls care about reputation because they don't want to inadvertently end up in a house with a bad rep. We all know what's happened with Pi Phi and Chi O. Several girls from my hometown didn't write on their rush application that they were a legacy to those two houses (PBP, XO - We knew they were legacies because their moms wrote recs for us.) It was kind of hilarious. Even their moms didn't want them to end up in those houses or get cut by the other houses because they were legacies. The girls that only look at prestige of a house are usually unhappy. The top girls that choose KAT or KKG choose those houses because that's where their friends are - NOT because of what they've read on GR. The truth is that not all the top girls can go to just two houses. Most of the others went to the other two top houses (DDD, GPB). Only a very few girls we were interested in went to PBP or XO.

Agreed. GPhi is wayy too mediocre to be a top house. Not even close to theta, kappa, and DDD's level. Keep dreaming. Putting GPhi up at that level just makes you look silly. Everyone (except GPhi) knows they're a middle tier house. And that isn't a bad thing. It's just the truth..
