Instead, talk to girls you know and respect from your high school. That will tell you more than websites. Obviously people are going to put what's great on their own sites and run down their rivals on other sites. There's just so much misinformation on the internet. As for the traditions, parties and philanthropies, all houses have them. No one, and I mean no one, pledges a sorority because they have a cool philanthropy or they have a cool party. As far as traditions, you won't know most until after initiation so you can't study that in advance. Just relax and don't decide before rush what houses you want. People drop out of rush every year and they shouldn't. I agree with the AGD below who wrote that any house is better than no house.

I'm sure AGDs are great girls, but to see that I am ranked last every single time by every single girl would really bother me.

Every house has everything from awesome to sucks and all fives to all ones. Stop worrying about what other people say. In real life (as opposed to Greek Rank) people from all houses hang out. Only the snobby people have anything mean to say. Most people have started getting more mature by college and no longer act like middle schoolers!

Well like hundreds of other girls would agree with, I don't want to join greek life to be in a low house. I'm sure everyone goes in wanting to be in a top house, and call me stuck up or whatever, but name does matter to me. Just like 10000s of other girls from all over that rush every year.

good idea to chek with girls at my school that were seniors last year and find out what they think!!
