top two houses

Theta and Kappa are the top houses. There isn't a clear third. House three is like a revolving door. Once it was PBP but then XO recruited well and won things but recently DDD has been winning scandals and using and it's fair to say they dominate it. Just when it looked like they were going to solidly take the house three spot they had an avg pledge class last year and this year they crashed and burned while both PBP and XO did really well. So there is a top two at OU and the other three just revolve around each other. During recruitment there is usually a natural break between those 5 houses and the others. Girls feel successful if they land one of those houses. With nearly 1100 girls going through each year about 400 end up in those houses. Girls who went to one of those houses on pref but didn't get in can become quite dramatic. Notice the three houses usually bashed on this site are the three revolving around PBP XO DDD.
So hope this clears it all up. There are two solid top houses then three lower upper houses then everybody else.

We know its XO because they are the only ones that aren't a top house in the above mentioned group.

Literally LOL. Do you really think DDD, PiPhi, Kappa, or KAT would ever group themselves in the same tier as XO? I can answer this with a confident NO! Trust me. Our concern with XO beating us in anything is zero. Oh wait- they can have Soonerthon...haha.

Kappa and Theta aren't in the same tier with DDD or PBP and Chio isn't going to write a post putting themselves lower than any house. DDD believes they can compete with KKG and KAO so it's not them either. PBP doesn't care one way or the other. I doubt any of those houses wrote it. Could be Kappa or Theta just being honest their houses are the best. It says there is a top two and whoever wrote it is correct. No other house comes close. I'm not in any of those houses but Theta and Kappa are much better than any of the others. NO HOUSE CAN COMPETE WITH THEM.

I believe that theta has strived to accomplish more than most, so yes I would give them top spot. Kappa has had a lot of issues the past few years, therefore I don't think they would deserve the number two spot until they made a few changes in behavior and attitude.
To be honest everyone has different markers when creating a list of what determines their top house. I think once everyone gets this through their thick skull and stops trying to beat everyone over the head with their opinion we will all be better off.
