president's trophy truth

Winning is great but it is only recognition for a job well done during the year. President's trophy recognizes all, yes ALL the work a house does during the year. Houses that do a lot of work and do well in all the competitions win, place, or win a special award. Not every top house can win and it's just stupid to say so. The top houses win sometimes, but also win special awards ALL THE TIME because they're just that awesome.
Since I've been here....
In 2013 it was:
Kappa and Theta for the win and place
Theta for academics
Tri Delta for community involvement
Gamma Phi for campus involvement
Pi Phi for multicultural
In 2014 it was:
Theta and Tri Delta for the win and place
Gamma Phi for academics
AKA (non-panhellenic) for community involvement
Gamma Phi for campus involvement
Pi Phi for multicultural

Top sororities are the ones that are the most successfully involved in all areas of campus. That's why OU students and PNMs think the special awards are important. They recognize overall involvement in specific areas. The overall winner and runnerup have done well in all areas, but the special award winners have done just as well as the top winner in their specific area. That's why many girls want the houses listed above more than a house that won the overall trophy ten years ago. No one here now was here then. But the girls that actually won U Sing or Homecoming or something this year or last year are the ones you'll hang out with in the house and have for your big. That's what matters. Involvement. Some houses have it, some don't.

Wow!!!! You got your panties all in a twist because GPB won an award and your house didn't? Why can't you just congratulate the winners and work a little harder to make your house that good. You sound like the one who gave GPB three bad ratings in a row on their site. Karma will catch up with you and when it does I hope you remember how mean spirited you've been. Nobody likes a sore loser!!!

only house on that list spring recruiting is GPB they weren't even top five in grades last year and BYX wins HC every year and it's the only time they ever won anything this year last year or ever so wait til fall if you really want a house that WINS things
