bids to a veteran

by:

I'm currently part of the army and am on deployment. When my unit is stateside were out of Fort Hood, TX. I joined out of high-school because although I was smart. I cared too much about athletics and partying to get the grades I was capable of. I thought the army would show myself what I'm able to do physically and mentally and and teach me to have some discipline, not to mention the GI Bill. In many ways it has but I got what I wanted out of being enlisted. Y'all have a good ROTC program and treat veterans well, I want to be an officer hence my reason for posting this. I'll be just over 21 when I get out and would love to attend OU and take part in Greek life. Would any decent chapters at OU give a veteran a bid, even though I'd be a little older and I'm not from OK? I want to stay in the Texas/OK part of the world and OU seems like a good place to start. Any advice is appreciated and congrats on beating UT (which also put $100 in my pocket.)

I'd guess someone would pledge you if you have the grades. Thanks for your service.

I agree. You might be too mature for fraternity life. But thanks for your service.

There are a lot of ways to meet people at OU without being Greek. Keep an open mind

There may be a few open to the idea. If not OU provides many other opportunities to meet and interact with fellow students.
