top 5 houses

If you see houses that claim to be top houses, ask why. What makes a house a top house? Overall recognition -- mainly president's trophy. Theta won this year with DDD runner up. KKG won last year. Both years GPB and PBP won special awards and this year GPB won two of them.

President's trophy is a comprehensive compilation of every event done by a sorority or fraternity during the entire year. It takes a tremendous amount of effort to win any part of the trophy, much less the award itself. Any sorority might win a part of the award once, but only the top houses win year after year.

There you have it. Top 5. No dispute.

This is the way people at OU perceive the sororities. It was true when I went through recruitment and is still true today. Look for the qualities in a house that you think are important. Some stress involvement, some academics, some looks, some athletics, some partying. Find your own place and don't get discouraged if you are released by any one or two houses.

The only controversy is one girl who keeps writing about houses that are the hardest to get into and including a house that had to snap bid even to make quota! Ridiculous!

Love the positive comments about tiers. If you're looking at tiers, at least look past the opinions. They often are madd just to encourage PNMs to choose one house over another.
