fraternity hazing

I'm a incoming student at OU and I want to rush but my parents are worried about fraternity hazing. Not the basic things like cleaning or doing something like push ups and forcing people to wear weird clothes, they're worried about forcing pledges to drink alcohol or beatings. I know the secrecy of brotherhood is sacred so I'm just asking in general do a lot of OU frats still do stuff like that?
