rushing sophmore

Well I plan to rush and I'm a Sophmore . I waited because I didn't really not much about fraternities. I think I made a bad decision because I'm not your avg rushee. For starters my parents aren't rich ( I would be paying for dues myself). My GPA is not the best ( That's a whole another story). I didn't want to join any black fraternities because I wanted to do something different. Any suggestions or what fraternity sounds right for me?

I would think "middle" to "lower" tier. There is nothing wrong with those house-in fact I won't even name names. Its petty. Register for rush, then see who you click with. Honestly, its hardly up to you.

She's the same Chi O that's on every minute making sure everyone know who she thinks is a top house. She has no idea about fraternities but pretends to know everything.

To the original poster: if you're a sophomore you probably know some guys in fraternities. Talk to them and tell them you're interested. Guys do most of their rushing in the summer, so you need to act fast.

If you're not able to be around for summer parties, still let them know that you'll be here in the all for recruitment and maybe they can save you a place.

It's all about connections. If you know people, talk to them. Guys are more likely to take you than a sorority would.
