Mean girl houses

Pi Phi and A Phi are mean but from what I've heard Chi O is the #1 mean girl sorority. I know so many girls who dropped out of that house because of the way they were treated.

Instead of down ranking en masse why not resolve to do better when it comes to mean girl activity? Character counts.

I feel sorry that you got in the wrong house. That's what happens when you pick a house on greek rank instead of during recruitment. I wish you could experience my house. There are definitely friendship groups based on classes taken together, CAC committees worked on together, highschool friendships and so on, but none of those things makes our actives exclude other girls. I've never felt like I couldn't join a group in the tv room or sit next to someone I don't know at a formal dinner. Seriously I don't know anyone in my house that's only here to climb the social ladder.

Pi phi, chi o, alpha phi, kappa are the main three known for mean girl issues. If you know you don’t fit in with those “type” of girls those prob aren’t the houses for you. If social status is important to you and those are the girls you tend to find friends in then there you go.

Sorry I meant 4, and also wanted to agree with the comment by “well”. No one joins certain (lower) houses for social status so you know the girls are there to find real friends. Do with that information what you will.

That’s gonna differ by house. I know in my house the person accused would be dealt with and we’d attempt a recourse so everyone can be happy, but I don’t know what happens for every house.

So if you’re in a house where mean girls dominate and are bullied there’s a likelihood you won’t be able to do anything about it. You’re SOL basically.

The problem with the "mean girl" houses is not that one girl bullies another. It's that a big group of girls bully all the rest of the girls in the house. They can't report them because the bullies' best friends are officers and on the standards committee. So if you are bullied you're just out of luck.

Ding ding ding…Pi Phi has had issues for years. And they tried fixing the problem but instead of fixing it, they fueled the problem. Their alums seek out reasons to call girls into standards. It’s absolutely the very worst sisterhood and overrun by a hypocritical exec and mean girl cliques. But why would the problem ever be fixed when it’s run by bully women. Good luck PNM’s if you decide to choose this house. They’ve even been in trouble with OU for bullying. I dropped a few years ago and it was the best decision I ever made. I speak from living it not from rumors.

100% what you said ^. In high school there are “popular kids”who are friendly and involved and then there’s the lesser tier of “popular kids” who are known for their rudeness and bad behavior. Pi Phi and esp. Aphi fit this category. They are the ones who peaked in Jr High and have been in a downward spiral ever since.
