types of people in specific sororities

The truth is that all houses have all kinds of girls. You will find girls that you love in whichever house you join. There are smart girls, social girls, party girls, nice girls, beautiful girls, society girls, legacy girls, etc. in every house. So much in recruitment isn't up to you - the house chooses and you only get that house if they want you. Rest assured that you will find girls like you in whichever house you end up in.

If you knew how to read you would see that she is a high school freshman. No houses at OU are likely to recruit her this spring.

If you only read the opinionated crazy person's blog on greekrank (10 or so entries every time she gets on here!) you would think there is a consensus about the top houses. If anyone disagrees, she tries to shout over them and say her favorite houses are the ones EVERYBODY AT OU prefers and that NO PNMS EVER prefer other houses. It's like she's totally unfamiliar with the realities of recruitment.

All PNMs hope to get in a top house( theta kappa Tridelt chi o pi phi) at OU. They settle for the others. The girls smart enough, pretty enough etc... Do pick from the top 5 because the top 5 only go after those kind of girls. Obviously you aren't in one of the top houses and had to get "chosen" by a house you had to " settle for".

To the original poster: Pay no attention to the ignorant social climber in #6 above. She's an idiot and doesn't know anything about recruitment. She has a "one size fits all" mentality and includes houses that don't really recruit the same type of girls. The best idea is to go through recruitment because the first comment is correct. All houses have all kinds of girls.

^, would you find it odd then that despite getting the "best" girls, there are those who find girls in the "Top Houses" dumb as a brick and about as useful? Granted there are oddities in some of those "Top Houses" and Theta specifically is known for its high GPA. Any house can throw a good party given the drive and resources, any house can win competitions, any house can do well academically, and any house can attract the attention of a sought after PNM. Yes recruitment is a dog and pony show with a large facade put up by each house and some do it better than others. However, what isn't a false front in any way is a house of girls you want to be in sisterhood with till the day you die. That is your opinion and its what matters to you. Don't make yourself miserable for 4 years thinking it will get better. tl;dr Everyone has opinions and sometimes they stink. Do what is best for you and enjoy the good times that come.

You aren't a girl and aren't in a sorority at OU. If you posted all the other posts with the same nickname, you're from a low frat at OU. The top sororities wouldn't want to associate with you either.

Why do you care who he is? He's perfectly accurate that the important thing is sisterhood. The girls in the good sororities (not necessarily all of the ones that you think are top houses) know that to be true. Also, girls in all the houses "associate" with guys in all the houses. You really probably don't go here if you don't know that. Tell everyone what your house is and what IIIIIIIII's house is. Then tell us that no girl in your house associates with any guy in his house. Bet you won't. Bet you can't.

To ^ None of us care if it's a top house, only you do. There are great, amazing guys in that house! You are seriously going to die a very sad, lonely person if you're only concerned with who the top house is or who won what award. The rest of us will be enjoying our lives with each other. We will be enjoying the friendships we made with here at OU, even the friendships we made with members from other houses. ALL HOUSES!
