Kappa- is all about the money and connections you have !
Theta- is all about what is on your resume
Pi phi- is all about connections and popularity in highschool
Tri delt- is all about what is on your resume and connections, and popularity( but these were the NICE popular girls )
Chi o- is all about if you have that chi o look and vibe, idk how else to explain ( I can spot a chi o instantly just by their looks and personality )
These are the generics, and what REALLY makes a top house a top is this never ending cycle of popular girls coming from the same schools and going to the same sorority their popular highschool friends went too. It will never really change unless scandals happen , that’s just how it is. And if you are trying to get away from that popular group, or you are coming into OU not really knowing that many people PLEASE don’t get upset you didn’t get into a “top” house, there’s stupid reasons why you didn’t like the ones I listed. There are mid and lower tier houses that you can still LOVE I promise

I think I should also mention, that how well you do doing rush of course also plays an important part, but I truly don’t think it’s as important as these other factors, I just know way way way too many girls that did absolutely nothing wrong during rush, they are outgoing, fun, nice pretty, yet they didn’t get a “top” house and that’s why I listed the reasons above :)

And sometimes it's all about having someone inside the house talking you up...Have you even noticed how all the girls from the same high school all end up in the same house? It's because the sophomores advocate for the PNMs they knew the year before.
So if you get cut by one of these houses, please don't feel bad about yourself. It truly says nothing about you.

I agree that some of those things are correct but others are laughable. Yes, that's what it takes to get a bid from Chi O, but it's a long way from making them a top house. Especially funny that you know instantly that they're a Chi O is one of the things people at OU make fun of them for. Maybe not nice but they're so in your face in an awkward and irritating way.

How do you explain that even "Top Houses" have their share of awkward/plain/unattractive girls and alleged "Bottom Houses" has its share of hot/pretty/outgoing/involved girls? There isn't a real difference across all the houses at OU. They each have a mix of girls who would fit in any category.
