Dear Spring Rushers
by: MKJust a heads up if you’re on this website, GET OFF. Scram. But for advice since you’re already here, look at OU’s Panhellenic page, it discusses informal recruitment/spring rush process. Forms open December 18th (I believe it said). You must understand that not all houses participate in spring rush. Last year houses that participated were, AGD, AXO, XO, aphi, aoii, and I believe gphi ( do not quote me on this). Spring rush for certain houses occurs if they lose girls at semester due to many reasons, not just dislike of the house, perhaps girls graduated or left the college in general. Good luck to you, stay true to yourself. If anyone has other advice or critiques, please share so these girls have a chance to understand.

You can go to the community grade reports and see which houses reported new members. That's how you know which ones recruited a spring class. The ones who did not recruit last spring were: Tri Delta, Gamma Phi, Theta, Kappa, and Pi Phi. All the rest did. It will probably be similar this year but no one knows yet.

Well Pi Phi did the year before last. That’s a fact so stop putting Pi Phi on same level as Kappa. And Pi Phi tries to hide it bc they are embarrassed by it.
Also, Pi Phi has qualified every year but their alums try to make it work so they don’t spring recruit bc they think it makes them look bad. When in fact they have some of the largest drops. Sorry! Truth!

Houses can spring recruit for 2 reasons.
One: girls hate their house and quit or get thrown out for QR. The first happened last year to a house that lost about 20 girls because they were unhappy. The second happened recently to a different house for racism and general bad behavior. If this happens, it's bad.
Two: Girls graduate early or move on to the HSC for nursing school etc. This is a good reason.
ASK WHY THEY'RE RECRUITING. Then ask around and see if they were telling the truth.
Note: Not all houses that are eligible to spring recruit will recruit. It depends on their internationals. Some have a rule that if you are offered the opportunity you have to recruit. Others have a rule of only one new member class per year so no spring recruiting. You'll see people say that only bad houses spring recruit. But it's only bad if girls dropped because they hated it or got thrown out for QR.

thinking a lot of houses will be doing spring rush. A lot of girls are not coming back in the spring which will open up spots
