top tier house?

Because it’s always been like that and it will never change, those houses will forever be viewed as “top” just based on the past

The girls who are in “top houses” will tell you that grades, on campus involvement, U-Sing, etc are factors and what make it up but tbh the “bottom houses” are the ones who are the ones who win the awards every year and are the most involved so it’s basically just who is prettier and that’s just the sad fact

But if it’s mostly about being attractive, tell me why “top tier” houses have the same proportion of attractive girls as other houses?

That’s the point. Top tier is a myth. They recruit lots of girls that have connections and resumes catered to recruitment. And a lot of the best girls don’t know enough or don’t care enough to bother. Bama have girls that hire professional consultants if their family doesn’t know how to do that. I am sure a few here might have done it too.
The top tier myth is just girls patting themselves on the back that they or their parents knew how to gather revs and put together resumes. Mostly rich kids.

If this is true then theta, Tri delt and PinPhi aren’t top tier. They have half that are pretty and half that are not at all. Pi phi and theta have a lot of bigger girls. This isn’t a mean statement BUT if you’re saying being pretty makes you top then They are not top.

I laughed out loud reading the things that people said above because they clearly are not in top houses. The thing my house looks for (and what every other top house looks for too) is girls that are well rounded. We love girls with honors or awards like NM scholar, PLC, etc. We also like girls with good social connections, good academics, lots of community service, fun personalities, good recs, etc. We want girls with good reputations and our house is not into drama so that's also a no no. As to looks, most of us don't look at simple physical beauty. We do want our girls to be well put together. That means that they make the most of their body type and hair and makeup. We don't care if someone is wearing lily pulitizer or target as long as it is flattering to their body and appropriate for the party. Of course we couldn't tell as much over zoom, but this has been true every other year.

My house is top tier. What we look for we get. Other houses look too, but accept girls that aren't as well rounded in many cases. And in two in particular, they only look for one thing and that's whether they look good.
