by: GreekLoverI am going to transfer to OU next semester, and I was wondering if I should try to go through spring rush or wait until the fall.. Any suggestions?

Not every house will be doing spring recruitment. Only the ones who have had girls graduate early, get into medical/dental/nursing/PT school at the HSC, are studying abroad, etc. will be taking new members. In order to get an invitation, though, you have to already know the girls in that house and be someone that they already think would fit in well. If you're just transferring here and don't know anyone you'll probably want to get to know some girls and then rush in the fall. There won't really be any notice, it's all by word of mouth and some people don't even know that it's going on.

Good houses don't spring recruit. If you want a house, any house then go through spring recruitment. If you are hoping to get into a top house( a real one at OU) don't go through spring recruitment wait for the fall.the best houses always stay above house total and can't spring recruit so the lower houses have a chance to increase their membership without top house competition.

True. Top houses often take sophomores. When they graduate early they just pick up some girls during the spring to keep at total.

Someone is always on here giving out wrong information. The girl above is wrong. You can call OUs greeklife and they will let you know which houses are doing spring recruitment and when it is and give your info to those houses.
