Which rounds have largest cuts?
by: NervousI got my round 2 schedule back, and all I can say is I’m now nervous. Not as many houses back as I had hoped. Is there a round that takes the most cuts? (I’m hoping you say round one!) Or is it every round?

Bigger cuts happen up front. I know a girl that had 2 houses after round 1 and kept them through to the end. It was great bc she really just focused on those conversations and she let them know she was very interested. It all worked out. She loved both. And was happy where she landed.

When you get an unexpected cut it hurts because you think that house liked you and now you suspect they didn't. It's okay. There are so many girls and every house is going for a diverse group. Maybe they already had too many from your school or hometown, maybe they need some singers for USING. Maybe they are overloaded with STUCO girls this year. You never know, and the houses you have left may need your very talents and personality. Don't let self-doubt get in your way. Each day look at your schedule and fall in love with a new favorite. But realize that in mutual selection you may not get them back. So fall in love with a different house the next day. We have 11 good ones and you only get one.

The thing most pnms don't know is that people who say they didn't have any cuts usually did. Don't believe that everyone got back all their top houses and you're the only one who didn't.
