Sororities following PNM on IG

Now that we have moved in to the dorms, I am talking to other PNMs. Most of them have lots of sorority members following them on IG. I only have a few. Does this mean only a few houses are interested in me? In other words, am I not being considered by the other houses who did not request to follow me?
Also, I am hearing a lot of stories about sorority members taking PNMs to lunch over the summer to talk to them about sorority life (not the sorority specifically). I have not had any invitations. In order to get into a house, do you need to have somebody inside the house advocating for you?

Some houses had actives who volunteered to take girls out. If you didn’t have a rec letter in early you may not have been on their radar. Also some of the actives who were supposed to reach out didn’t. It’s literally city by city so if there was no active from your high school then nobody may have been assigned to reach out to you. I wouldn’t worry too much about it. It’s easy when you are a PNM to think rush is more organized than it is but TBH it’s not always very organized.
