Who do you really need to know?

Yall, i know every house is good on campus, and I will trust the process, - but i really want to know how many girls will get cut because they don’t know anyone in the house. Realistically, If you don’t know “anyone” how difficult is it to get in the more competitive houses? If you know one person that is pulling for you, is that enough? Or do you need to know more? It seems like everyone already has a great resume, with virtual rush it feels like it is going to be really hard to sell yourself to competitive houses that have never met you before.
