All I’m Saying Is
by: sorryokay, i mean this in the nicest way possible, but please don’t rush a house for the name, you will end up regretting it and i know from personal experience. I was a PNM in 2017 and ended up becoming a member of a “top house” on south greek, i also went into pref that year with a “middle tier house” I ended up preffing the “top house” because i wanted the clout of it (which looking back is so stupid) and on bid day when i ran “ home” I instantly regretted my choice. PNMs don’t be like me, don’t rush a house bc that’s what everyone around you wants. Rush the house that you feel like is home. If i could go back and change my decision , I would a million times.

I can name at least 5 friends who have all said the same thing. Picked the “top tier” house and regret not going the house where they fit. Honestly there are a couple middle tier houses that should be on the top line bc they offer a better experience and have better sisterhoods.
I can name 2 “top tier” houses that are there for NAME ONLY but don’t offer a good experience or sisterhood. They promote snitching on sisters to get them in trouble. And have alum issues. Hard pass

All houses offer a good experience. But the best experience will be if you land where you find your people. And the best way for that to happen is to be true to yourself.
And tiers are irrelevant these days bc women are smarter and stronger than ever before. They can think for themselves. I have a great respect for my Panhellenic friends from EVERY CHAPTER at OU.
Sororities have evolved so much. But you won’t see it on GrekkRank. The majority here are from years past with no clue what young women want or need in today’s world.
