Why Rank Sororities?

A PNM’s question from another school but is completely relatable to the toxic environment that is OU’s GR forum:

“I’m confused why everyone is ranking sororities when Panhellenic has been saying that every sorority supports eachother? Makes me not want to be a part of greek life and rush anymore because if it’s all just competition at who’s sorority is better then that’s annoying and somebodies always putting some other sorority down?“
