spring rush
by: hopefulI was a transfer this year to OU. I rushed as a sophomore I had a wonderful time and made a lot of new friends. When it came to the day before pref night, I was cut from all of the houses except AOPI. I finished out and even went to their pref night but then I couldn't do it. I didn't love it, it was a hard decision but I ended up dropping. After spending so time at OU I have fallen even more in love with greek life. Do I have a chance at all of getting a house that is not AOPI or AGD? I have 3.8 GPA! Also no offense to APOI or AGD you both have wonderful girls.

You can read the post right below yours if you are really a person asking this question. It seems like another set up because of the crazy girl who doesn't understand spring rush and is critical of houses when they do it. She doesn't realize that top houses spring rush from time to time and are happy to do it. The girls that get bids in the spring are girls that are already best friends with girls in the house. They're girls they already want. You must be best friends with someone in order to get a bid. It only happens for top houses if they've had people who have transferred colleges, gotten into a professional school at the HSC, finished college in 3 years, etc. Nationals makes them replace those numbers. So when you see a top house with new members in the spring it's because they have VERY successful members. Don't pay attention to the crazy girl who doesn't understand this. She must be in a house of more average girls or who has a dropout problem. That must be the only kind of spring rush she's familiar with. Good luck! Make lots of good friends this semester and let them know you're interested.

It's obvious that you're ignorant and certainly not cognizant of what goes on in top houses. Just because your house doesn't have any girls that are successful doesn't mean no house does!

If this is a real post I have to ask what are you thinking? The houses that wanted you you thought you were too good for and you want a house that cut you, in other words they didn't want you. It's your attitude not your grades that hurt you and it will happen again. The answer to your question is doubtful

Top houses don't spring recruit maybe some good ones that aren't top do but the best houses don't. Unfortunately you can't speak for everyone's nationals but nice try
