OU's Greek Culture
by: OU Sooner!
I am here to spread love! At OU, we have 11 amazing houses. People keep arguing tiers and where houses fit. The thing is, there is no way to determine these rankings/tiers because everyone thinks their house is the best! Thank goodness for that...who would want to be in a house that they don't LOVE!
The world is changing right before our eyes. What used to be considered important is no longer. We have spent many years being superficial and not genuine and our layers are being peeled away and girls are more interested in being part of genuine sisterhoods and developing lifelong friendships. Not the kind that are fake and based on climbing the ranks of society.
I am so thankful for my friendships that I have made in my sorority. These girls have made me better and love me for who I am. They are inclusive, and welcoming of people of all different backgrounds. I was talking with some friends in other houses and they were discussing some girls from our HS coming to OU and how their decisions on these girls were focused on superficial things. Things that shouldn't matter! It made me SO THANKFUL that my house is welcoming and doesn't "cut" based on these things.
OU Panhellenic, let's keep our focus on being inclusive, loving, forgiving, non-judgmental and supportive of one another. WE CAN BE BETTER than what is on this site and what goes on behind closed doors. Be transparent and real!

Only way that truly happens is to disaffiliate OU Greek life from a site whose only purpose is to pit chapters against one another by constantly “ranking” them.
I don’t see how a community pulls together when sites like this exist and appeal to the absolute worst of human character traits.
They’ve got us and they know it.
