Well nothings really wrong with em... I mean the way I see it is that all the houses in the Top and Mid tiers will oftentimes steal guys that others are rushing. Obviously more will go to the Top ones than the Mid ones but it's reasonably well-balanced.

The Low ones on the other hand, probably won't be able to get any guys that Top houses are rushing and few guys that Mid houses are rushing. While guys FIJI's rushing sometimes will go Delt just because they like the guys better and guys SAE's rushing sometimes will go Phi Delt for the same reason, you'll virtually never will hear about a guy getting rushed hard by Sig Ep going KA. It's just considered too much of a step down.

I don't feel like any of our houses are THAT bad though.

so what are the tiers and ranks based off of? mostly just looks and sociability?

Mostly, which fraternity has the most guys bored online get Tier 1, then Tier 2 and so on.

Depends on who you ask. Tiers are generally based on a combination of reputation, parties, and involvement. Lambda and Sig Ep are considered top by just about everybody because they have all 3 really well, while some might consider a house like FIJI top because they party hard even though they aren't involved and others might consider a house like Delt or Phi Delt top because they win CAC events and are very competitive in intramurals but aren't party houses. Houses like KA just don't really have any of the 3 going for them
