The strike system has a lot to do with that, but I know people who party with other frats including myself

Yeah, I think that has to do with most of it. Houses don't want the added liability of having someone from another house cause them to get a strike because different houses act differently during IFC checks. If we were to get rid of the alcohol policy our greek system would be amazing, but unfortunately that will not happen in our times. Maybe in the future

i want to know what the deal is with the two houses next to DG...is anyone living in them? are they even a fraternity now?

The one right next to DG, Phi Kappa Sigma or "Skulls" is still on campus but to my knowledge they aren't using that house. The one next to that one, Phi Psi, is on campus and still uses that house, but i'm pretty sure 10 people live there at the most.
