New Rush Rule
by: hmmJust caught wind that active members of houses can now reach out to PNM’s over the summer, pre rush. I wonder how this will effect bidding, PC’s, etc. Will dirty bidding now be more prevalent? Will new PC’s be bigger or smaller? I feel like now that the contact barrier is down, more girls will feel more welcomed to rush since they aren’t just being thrown into the whole crazy fall rush week. What do you guys think?

So basically houses will be potentially giving out bids before rush even starts? I wonder how that will work? Girls will go to the houses they have been rushed by during summer? This actually isn’t a terrible idea. Girls will go in knowing they are truly wanted! I was actually kind of dirty rushed by 3 houses before I went into rush. I ended up in one of those 3 houses!

We can NOT give out bids ! But we are allowed to talk to them and answer any questions they have! So yes they can go to houses and remember the ones who reached out to them because probably at least one round is going to be virtual and rush is most definitely going to look different this year so we are trying to help comfort them as much as we can

This is not true. This is still very much considered dirty rushing. We got emails today specifically saying do NOT do this because other chapters are getting in trouble for it so maybe some people got confused... If a girl in a sorority is reaching out to you or other high school seniors this summer that says a lot about the character of their chapter. Houses should not feel implicated to dirty rush in order to be successful

You are wrong litterally all we do is talk to them about rush in general we don’t specifically say like you need to join this house and that’s why.. like no just a lot of pnm’s have questions right now so they said (all chapters) can talk to them and answer them
