Is rushing even worth it

by:

Hey everyone I am going to OU in the fall and planning on rushing.. I’m from Florida, I have 3 recs for every sorority, 3.6 GPA, high school involvement and lots of volunteer hours, but no connections or friends at OU. I have a great, easy going personality but will I have a chance of even getting a bid from a good sorority?

Every house at OU is great! You’ll love it
more because OKlahoma and Texas girls are way too caught up and end up not liking their house because they play the fake game. You’ll end up loving where you end up because you will truly pick based on where you fit!

This very same post is in UARK’s discussion page, word for word.
Don’t indulge her with any more responses. She’s a fake.

GUYS I haven’t committed to a college yet so I’m putting it on every college I got accepted to!! I am on disability scholarship and I am not required to commit until June. I am just weighing my options here. You guys are so quick to assume without knowing the full situation.

No — YOU are the one being dishonest by posting to four different schools that you are already committed and going there!
You are earning a very high ranking of your own on the BS meter.
Be truthful in the way questions are posed and you won’t have a problem.

Says the one stalking all of these pages. I genuinely want a feel for each Greek system at every school I got accepted to. It’s not hurting anyone. Be rude all you want, but you’re the one stalking multiple Greek rank pages and all I want is an idea of Greek systems at each school before I fully commit. And don’t tell me I’m lying, because I worked my ass off for the scholarship money I’ve earned and I pushed past a disability. Bye

Just refrain from lying. That’s all. Pretty basic.

You ARE lying by saying you’ve “committed” to each of these schools. Hello??
Is it your disability which causes you to lie, giving different background stories on separate school’s GR pages??
Bye

Everyone stop being rude to this girl. It’s fine that she’s looking at different schools. Those of you calling her a liar are the reason people dislike Greek life. OP, these people are acting immature and they’re probably self conscious. Ignore them. I hope that you do decide to rush and give Greek life a chance. It can be a truly amazing thing. Ignore Greek rank it’s full of petty people. Go look at r/sororities on reddit for kind, supportive, and helpful people. They can answer all of your questions and give you great guidance no matter where you go to school.
