During recruitment, this is usually how it goes:
Girls will try for the top 5 houses (of course): DDD, KKG, Theta, Pi Phi, & XO.
If girls don’t get those, they aim for AXO or APHI.
If they don’t get those 2, they aim for DG, AOII, or GPHI.
If girls get dropped from the others, they will usually end up AGD (which is not a bad thing!! AGD is rising & a LOT of girls get completely released! Ending the week in a house is a success!)

I agree with OP but honestly most of the girls that I knew who were cut by the Top Five wanted AXO & DG over Aphi

Chi O has dropped and girls won't want Chi O in the fall after they hear about how much the most recent pledge class hated it and dozens dropped

Nice try. You can tell who is trying to up rank. And many girls preffed Alpha Gam above other houses. I know several personally.
This whole list is so wrong. So much off from beginning to end.

I’m going thru recruitment in the fall & girls at my high school are all saying they just hope to get in one of the top 5 houses- kappa, pi phi, chi o, tri delt or theta!

Yeah - girls come in thinking they want those 5 and while they are great houses, the others are often a better fit.

Everyone’s Top 5 is different. My Top 5 were not all the ones you stated in the top 5. It’s all about where you fit. Hopefully you will know yourself well enough to cancel out what people tell you and follow your instincts and heart. Every house at OU has something great to offer you. I grew up in Oklahoma and I chose to make decisions for myself and I am so beyond grateful my parents raised me to think for myself. So many great houses. Good Luck!

It isn’t nice. I am sure of it. This site is toxic in its view on Greek life and should be actively lobbied by the NPC to remove it as a forum.
