No clue but Pi Phi was the same way last year. But then wanted to defend spring recruitment with all the reasons why they did. Who cares! If everyone on here would stop bashing houses for every little thing then they wouldn’t feel like that have to hide everything.

It is weird that certain people on greekrank don't understand that all houses (at least those allowed to by their international org) do spring recruitment at one time or another. Yes, it is a clue something's wrong if they're recruiting 20 girls because that many dropped out. But needing a few because of early graduation, transfer from OU, transfer to nursing school or vet school at OSU or whatever is not bad. It strengthens the houses and gives girls that were not able to join a sorority earlier a chance at sisterhood.

It is truly a numbers game. Some groups are quiet because they are only allowed to recruit a small number. So they are more intentional and circumspect because they don’t have to put on big recruitment events. And any group has one or two girls they already know.

The groups that get to recruit bigger spring classes actually are at an advantage bc they can actually provide a proper new member experience. Can you imagine being a PC of only one or two??

And the number available has nothing to do with the quality of the sorority. At all. It is a device to keep a healthy Panhellenic community. The mean sorority size is determined. Sororities can recruit up to that number. To be straight only half the sororities on campus will be below the mean and eligible to recruit up to that number. They could have one spot or thirty. In groups as big as OU it isn’t that big of a difference.
