people transferring from ou to a&m

Why do I see so many people transfer from OU to A&M after like their freshman year ?

Cost of tuition if they are from Texas is like 1/3. A lot of Texas people don’t get into A&M as freshman because of the top 10% rule. But the top 25% at big suburban high schools are better qualified than top 10 at some other schools and when those people leave after freshman year other people transfer in. A&M takes tons of sophomore transfers.

It’s auto admit at A&M if you’re top quarter and over 31 on ACT - not that difficult.

I’ve had several friends transfer to A&M due to $. They could no longer afford the cost of out of state tuition for OU. A&M is a great school too and probably the best in Texas.
