be honest
by: GreekDo any of y’all feel like you ended up in the wrong house. Or have you ever felt that and then ended up loving your house ?
#1 by: Yeah
Yes there are other houses I could see myself fitting in very well maybe even better than the house I am in. I know so many girls that are very similar to me in other houses that I know I would love too. And I think the reason I didn’t get into those houses was I just didn’t have those connections to get in and maybe not as much on my resume/bio. It is hard to think of what ifs but I’m lucky to have a great house like mine that can be that place for quality girls to have a home that might have slipped through the cracks during recruitment for other reasons. I did find my group of people at the house I am in and I have made incredible memories with them and wouldn’t trade it.

There are 300 girls. If you can’t find your people you aren’t looking hard enough. I guarantee you the grass isn’t always greener on the other side. So many think they pledge and should have instant friends and bonds. That only happens when you already have a connection. If you got into a house that is connection heavy, and u didn’t have those connections, you would have to work harder to break into those cliques who went to school or camp or cheered together. Likely, if you are in a house that relies less on connections, others are looking to connect just like you. But you have to put yourself out there. Join in on the fun. Attend all the events bc those create connections.
Love what the poster above said about loving their house and finding her people. That is what it is about. All 11 houses are strong and have great alumna networks. It can be for more than 4 years...

I absolutely pledged a house that I regret. I pledged it because I am a legacy and it's a top house according to many. But I absolutely have not liked it and find myself fitting with a few other houses better. I have found my people and am fine but I wished I had actually looked at other houses closer and not focused so much on my legacy and it being a "top" house because once in it I have seen it is far from a "top" house in how they act and treat people.
