Guys we are all in college. No matter what age you are we are past the high school level drama. WE. ARE. IN. COLLEGE. How is this consistent hate not exhausting for everyone to keep up with. I am a PNM that pledged a sorority just two days ago and I’m beyond happy where I am no matter where it falls on the ranking chart. As much as I wish the rankings would just go away they never well. There’s always going to be that person that is an active member, alumni, mom, or potential new member that will worry if she does not get into a top house or if her daughters house is not ranked in the top five. Within the past week I’ve visited all 11 houses on campus. I gave each house a fair chance and did not rank them at the selections meeting based on the ranks I’ve seen on this website. And I can honestly say that’s the best thing I’ve ever done. I had many friends in my walking group that ranked houses based on what other people were saying and a few of them were released a few of them dropped and a few them were devastated with the results on bid day. After visiting all 11 houses I can confidently say that each house is amazing in their own way. I talked to some very sweet kind and confident girls each day who I feel represented their house extremely well. So if I’m being honest here everyone had an amazing pledge class and the ranks have changed some houses did better than others and that’s OK it shows that the OU quick community is getting stronger and stronger and everyone should be proud of that. Do you yourself and all your fellow Greek friends a favor and tone down the hate and welcome these new members, no matter the house, with kindness and respect. Everyone earned their place in the house they landed in and to those of you who didn’t get the results they wanted I wish you success with COB in the fall and spring and potentially recruitment next year as well. If you didn’t get the house you wanted on bid day embrace where you’re at. That house loved you and they see something in you that could bring joy and happiness into their house. Try and get to know the girls and be involved with them as much as you can. That is the best way to go about the situation. And if for whatever reason you still don’t feel like you found your place you don’t have to return next year but until then make the best of what you can. So please stop with the hate. It is extremely exhausting to everyone on this website to keep up with and keep reading. Spread some positivity that every house that everyone is in is good. Even though the ranks have changed it doesn’t make someone’s house any less better than the others. Every house has their strengths and weaknesses but if we come together as one community we can all help each other out. The hate before during and after recruitment has been extremely disgusting and is making our community look horrible. I’m not sure why these girls are so content with spreading hate but you should really reevaluate your values. So please please please recognize that every house at OU is good and you can’t go wrong with any of your choices. The ranks have changed but it shouldn’t even matter with what they are and the stereotypes are obviously not true for everyone in the house. So please when you think of a certain house and choose to talk about them say something nice because there’s not a single house on campus that someone should be embarrassed for being a part of.

Yes! Let’s spread love not hate! Once school starts no one cares what house you are in. I hang with girls from different houses and we have a lot of fun together and could care less that we aren’t in the same houses. Actually we like that we aren’t cause we meet lots of people we may not have met just hanging with our house.

I'd say that all the houses did well and that the ranks more reflect personal bias rather than actual quality. I saw a huge fight on here with one person saying that she thought one house ranked higher than another person did. I felt kind of sorry for her because the other lady (obviously not a student) was kind of brutal saying (among other things) that the house she thought was good was in the lowest tier. I agree that the first person got thoroughly bullied for her opinion. We shouldn't be doing that. We should be happy that all our houses are good and that any girl would be lucky to get a bid anywhere.

I saw some of that fight too. I should have stepped in. We are all supposed to be following the Panhellenic Code. Remember that?
