round two
by: CuriousWhat is the likelihood of making it to preference night with only one or two invites in round two?

VERY GOOD!!!!
It is very normal to get heavy cuts round 1 and round 2.
Recruitment is a big show, and there are several sororities that are really really good at it. So almost everyone wants to go back to those groups. Well those sororities have to make big cuts, otherwise everyone would go back to those all the way to the end, never looking at the other great sororities that don't rush so well, and then they would get cut at preference. Which isn't fair to you all sweating in the sun trying to find a sorority. So the cuts are in your favor now. You know which groups really want you! And this is a good thing!
SO... Big cuts happen. It only takes one invitation. I knew girls with only 1 invite after round 1 and they went all the way through and are happy with the group that invited them. I also know girls who were cut from all 11 who were contacted bid day for a snap bid.
Moral to the story... Keep going... Don't quit.
Those cuts aren't about you. It is just a numbers game. The sororities that put on a good show are just as good as the ones that don't. And after rush no one cares about which sorority you are in (except for a few rotten apples that got soured during this process and didn't let it go). Most of my friends have good friends inside their sorority and other sororities. And they stay tight all 4 years.
Enjoy the sororities you get invited back to. Take the time to really look around and see the beauty of each group. I promise you it is there.
Occasionally 1 or 2 girls fall through the cracks. The few that fall between the cracks can give COB a shot after rush is over. Greek life is worth the effort!!! #PanLove
