kappa remodel taking three years???

I’ve really been wanting Kappa, and I found out from my moms friend that the girls discovered that they won’t be able to live in for another 3 years because of construction. Is this a game changer? Kappa was the top of my list, but I really want to live in. Alumni clubs r pushing Pi phi and theta now because it is such an experience. Thoughts ?
