freshman

by: ?

Hey so I’ll be transferring there in the fall from Georgia and I only have 24 hours so I’m still considered a freshman. I know most sororities focus their attention on freshman rushing so would that include me or would I have less of a chance because I’m a transfer and they make look at me as a sophomore? (I only know 2 people at OU and they are in the same sorority house)

I would think that if your going to be registered as a freshman at OU you would pull up as a freshman with the sororities i also think that as long as you put freshman when you sign up for rush you should be fine. It’s kind of hard to say tho. If you know girls then that’s all that matters, it comes down to who you know and standing out.

Sadly, I do not know a single person at OU to have any connections but I do think I can stand out. Will not having connections ruin my chances? I’ve been told a couple times before that they are definitely not as important as they used to be.

Are your college grades better than your high school grades? If so you might want them on your application.

Both of my grades in high school and college have been good but my college GPA would look better than my high school GPA number wise.

Houses will want your college grades if you have them, not high school grades.

How much weight do grades hold more than connections in the houses? Do they hold the same amount of weight or in the end will one get you further than the other (I know personality is a major thing too but want to know the relationship between connections and grades).

Every house is different. No one can answer this for you. You'll just have to take your chances during recruitment like all other pnms.
