XO isn’t top and neither is GPhi.
Top in grades isn’t what determines a top house. Lots of things factor in: looks, being fun, involvement, grades, being well liked, etc.
PNM’s, I suggest going through and finding out for yourself. You seriously can’t go wrong at OU. Every house is good. Every house has different groups. I know people in top houses who hate it, i know people in middle tier houses and love it. And I know people in bottom houses and absolutely love it. Your house doesn’t determine your future or who you are so find where you like the best!

TBH the original poster probably got it right because what's "top" to one person isn't "top" to another. Why are polar opposites KKG and KAT "top" when for the most part girls from one house would not be happy in the other? Because for some people "tops" is grades and God and for others, "tops" is hanging with the "popular" rich people from their high school/summer camp/country club. Same with the mid-tier - some people think "tops" means looks, others think it means sisterhood, others think it means who has the best parties or is most involved. So for the partiers, APhi may be "tops" and for the fashionistas, Chi O may be tops.
Girls go find who you like and who likes you. Don't worry about how some anonymous person views each house, worry about how you view it. The last thing you want to do is get into the "best" house you can then hate it because you don't have a lot in common with many girls.

After reading all the comments on here I would like to say that the original poster got it right. As for theta kappa and pi phi having the least issues this year, that may be true but two of those listed have had BIG issues for the last many years. So 1 year doesn’t excuse the years of major problems.
PNM’s need to just go through and find where they are happiest bc currently the OU sororities are changing and ones that were great are no longer great and those that were just so so are doing amazing things.

I would say things are changing because instead of a top 4 and everybody else, like you may as well not join a house at all, there’s a top 11. Every sorority at OU is good in it’s own way and is good for the girls who chose to make it their home.

it’s changing bc top tier sorority’s in the past just aren’t as secure as top anymore so the sorority’s that we’re middle tier for years rlly are rising (not all tho)

pnms still always want the top 5 though... i never talked to one that didn't want some combination of them unless they were a legacy for a middle house. the middle houses aren't really rising because there is no where they can rise to. top houses will remain top no matter what happens because of networking after college

That couldn’t be any further from the truth...not one single girl is thinking about networking after college as part of their decision process. And the so called top 5 you’re speaking of have a few in there that aren’t as strong nationally as other houses. For example, DG is so strong nationally and stronger than most at OU yet they aren’t in what you are calling the top 5. Stop making these comments all over this site because it has no truth behind it.

Most girls don't give a flying eff about whether you consider a house as #3 or #5. They care about the girls they already know in the house and the ones they've met during recruitment. So don't worry about trying to recruit on greek rank.
