clothes for recruitment

I have heard to not wear spaghetti strap dresses during recruitment and to not wear black on preference day is this true?

I always advise girls to wear whatever they feel comfortable and confident in! You do not have to look a certain way or act a certain way! Wear what you think is cute! It doesn’t matter if you wear spaghetti straps or black on pref night. Girls will not remember what you wore just your conversation.
